20 Years of Friendship, Trust, and Respect

I've known Chris Kostik for 20 years. We first met in 2006 through the automotive industry, where Chris became a trusted advisor and, before long, a good friend.

​

From 2016 through 2024, I had the privilege of serving on the Pine Island, Minnesota City Council. During part of that time, Chris and I were both serving in public office, which led to many conversations about municipal government, leadership, and the responsibilities we have to the people we serve.

​

The quality I admire most about Chris is his commitment to transparency. In my experience, Chris believes people deserve honest answers, open communication, and a clear understanding of how and why decisions are made.

Chris remains someone I call today when I want another perspective on something or simply want to make sure I'm considering an issue from every angle. He listens, respects differing viewpoints, and often brings perspectives that challenge me to look at an issue differently.

Eight years in local government taught me that governing requires much more than opinions and good intentions. It requires the ability to listen, consider the long-term consequences of decisions, and sometimes make difficult choices that are in the community's best interest.

When I read the principles Chris outlines on his campaign website, I recognize the same person I've known for nearly two decades. Those aren't just words on a website. They reflect the values I've personally witnessed in our professional relationship, our friendship, and our shared experience in public service.

That's why I'm proud to endorse Chris Kostik for reelection as Mayor of Credit River. I've seen firsthand the integrity, thoughtfulness, and commitment he brings to public service. Credit River is fortunate to have his experienced leadership, and I encourage residents to support him on November 3rd.
